How I Made $200 Just Cleaning Out My Closet

My Nana has always said whenever you buy something new, you should get rid of 10 things sitting in your closet. If I come home after a shopping spree, she’ll say, “Well, what are you getting rid of?!” I can’t say I live by this rule all the time haha I definitely am guilty of buying more than I get rid of, however I am pretty good about cleaning out from time to time. My rule of thumb is that if I haven’t worn it yet this season, then I likely won’t… so it’s time to say goodbye!

What I Wish I Knew Before Becoming a MOH

As soon as my sister got engaged, I knew at some point she would ask me to be her Maid of Honor.  My sister and I have always been close and it was a no-brainer that she'd want me beside her for this very exciting time!  As much of an honor it was to have this opportunity, I had no idea what I was getting myself into considering this was my very first time being in a wedding, let alone being a MOH.  Luckily, my sister also chose her best friend as the Matron of Honor so I had someone to fall back on and learn the ropes from! (Thank you, Laura!!)

Things To Do In Philly

Summer Reading List

As much as I love a good romantic novel or a book that provides comic relief, I absolutely love reading mystery thrillers. Here are I’ve rounded up 5 mystery thrillers that I’ve read recently that I could not put down! Headed to the beach or hanging by the pool? These page-turners will have you hooked!

Best Breweries in Philly

After living in Charlotte and Denver, both craft brewery hubs, I came back to Philly in high hopes for that cool, brewery vibe. I mean can you think of a better way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon other than stopping by a brewery for some craft beers and good company?! I was happy to find out that Philly is actually ramping up their brewery scene.  Here are some places I’ve been that you should definitely check out… Cheers!

Favorite BYOBs in Philly

If you’re from Philly, you might be aware of the fact that many restaurants in the city consider themselves BYOB— meaning they don’t serve alcohol, so they encourage that you bring your own bottle of wine or beer. At first, I thought the concept was a little weird, but quickly got onboard because it is such an affordable way to dine out! If you can save on the drinks, then more money to spend on the meal, right?! At least that’s what the restaurant is banking on. Here I’m going to share some of my favorite BYOBs in Philadelphia by cuisine.

Essential Oils I’ve Been Using

Lately I’ve been so into essential oils.  I put them in my water, rub them on my skin and diffuse them throughout my house.  I have found they really work for natural remedies, oftentimes even better than drug store products! Here I’m going to explain my five favorite oils and what I use them for!

50 States Bucket List

I’ve done a ton of traveling over the past few years. I love visiting different cities, and finding out what makes them similar and what makes them unique.  There’s something really exciting and thrilling about exploring a new city from trying out local cuisine, learning about city’s history or famous people who lived there, to hearing peoples’ accents and learning about the way they live.  I decided to set a goal to visit all 50 states by the time I’m 30.

Weighted Blanket, An Honest Review

I’ve been wanting to get a weighted blanket for awhile.  I first heard of them about a year ago. My mom’s friend said her daughter got one to help get a better night’s sleep by reducing stress and anxiety.  I had never thought of the possibility that a blanket could have a mental effect, but let me tell you, now that I have my weighted blanket, there is no going back!

5 Things I Keep In My Purse At All Times

Why is your purse so big? LOL. This is something I get questioned a lot tbh. But actually, I do carry a large tote bag and it is truly a wonder my arm hasn’t fallen off.  I just love to carry a big bag because I love having things with me just in case.  You never know when you might need something, so may as well just have it with you. At least that’s the way I see it.  However, whenever I explain this to people, they’re like, “What could you possibly need?”  So for those that are curious, here are 5 things I keep in my purse at all times.

25 Things I’ve Learned

This past week I celebrated my 25th birthday. It kind of hit hard that I’m getting old, but I used it as an opportunity to think about all of the things I’ve learned in my recent post-college, adult life. So here I have laid out 25 things I’ve learned in honor of my 25th birthday.

Apartment Style: Bedroom Makeover

About a month ago I moved into my new place in Philadelphia!  I live in a row home (or "townhouse" as some call it) with two of my friends, and we each have our own bedroom!  The place itself is very old and outdated and needed a bit of a makeover.  I knew I wanted to spruce my bedroom, but wanted to keep it reasonable and not break the bank.  Every other place I've lived, my room was too small for a desk space, so that was my number 1 priority.  Especially since I picked up blogging about a year and a half ago, I need a "blog space" to get my work done. Keep reading to find out where I shopped.
